Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join members of our broader community and participate in a live, continuous reading of some of King’s most significant and illuminating texts, from his well-known speeches to rarely cited essays. Texts will be selected and provided by Marty Center staff.

Schroeder will discuss his book The United States Governed by Six Hundred Thousand Despots, a rediscovered narrative from John Swanson Jacobs, an ex-slave and ex-American.
